We are almost finished with construction our house

LIFE UPDATE: Since we last talked and shared the story of Muhezi and Nsugwa, they have been busy with more progress as attaining their usage of the cash transfers in securing a better future for them and their children.

Muhezi and Nsugwa have purchased a plot of land worth UGX 3.6 million / 874.34 Euros and paid UGX 3.3 million / 801.48 Euros thus far leaving them with a financial balance to the tune of UGX 300,000 which is approximately 72.86 Euros which they seek to repay after the construction of the permanent housing.

Muhezi and Nsugwa are parents to 9 children who have all been in school since the inception of the cash transfers and their educational journey is going so well without any hindrances.
Since last we spoke to both Muhezi and Nsugwa, the house being constructed was meant to provide additional accommodation for the children and greatly improve on the family’s life satisfaction and living standard.

Muhezi’s kiosk is also still operating and provides surplus incomes that the family has used to invest in farming with goats and crops purchased and to ensure proper financial security for the future, Muhezi and Nsugwa joined a savings group that they passionately attend and participate in all the meetings held.
